Earning its choreographer the title of "San Diego Emerging Artist", this award winning dance theatre piece, Louise in the Late Afternoon (Parts I and II), is actually an extension of an earlier piece, "Lou-lou goes to the ball." This character was further developed as an examination of the timeless feminine dilemma, in terms of social perception vs. reality, and late 1920's, early 1930's era imagery, including references to Charlie Chaplin's "Modern Times".
